Bunkers were a problem as some have good sand and some are too grainy. Need another set of tees for old folks, reds are too short in some cases so I played a combo.

Have played many other courses in the Orlando area. This was my 1st time playing Grand Pines, and I didn't quite know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that it's layout is much more intriguing than most resort courses. In fact the friendly player assistance ranger I spoke with for a few moments informed me that: "it's really not a resort course; the layout plays to difficult to be one". I played slightly better than my handicap (18). The rating/slope are higher than average. I found you can score well on this course,if you play smart shots & don't get to greedy. Conditioning is excellent as you should expect from a course in the Disney/Sea World vicinity.

They had not raked the bunkers in several days and if you had the unfortunate experience of landing in one, you would invariably be is a footprint up to 6 inches deep. Rather miserable.

Driving range is small, bag of balls included in price. Pace of play was very slow, 5 hours, on a Saturday. Course has some challenging holes, bunkers around all greens that are deep. They need another set of tees between white and red as one is a little long and the other too short.
